Hall of Fame Chiefs QB Len Dawson Dies at Age 87 Dawson was Born on 20 June 1935.He attended Alliance High School in Alliance, Ohio.He was MVP of the football team and was named outstanding Ohio back of the year by the International News Service. He was named to six AFL All-Star teams and one Pro Bowl squad, and also earned AFL Player of the Year honors for the 1962 season. A number of years ago, someone was taking a survey of the greatest sports figures in Kansas City history. The loving couple stayed married until Jackies death in 1978. In 1966, while still playing for the Chiefs, Len became the sports director at KMBC-TV in Kansas City which led him into a second career in sports broadcasting.
