Kappa.doesnt have the rich rep, or cute, they kinda hate each other. Pi Beta Phi isn't always like that, I know someone who is very nice and outgoing who is in Pi Beta Phi . Kappa kappa gamma is the richest out of all of them. I can see why a Zeta would think they are the best though. To attempt to generalize thousands and thousands of women based on a national chapter is humorous to me. I'm so glad that i read all the comments before leaving this page. Delta Zetas are gorgeous, easy girls while Delta Gammas are typically bigger in size and far more unattractive. Kappa Kappa Gamma? Hot girls but probably no Kappas or Pi Phis wish they were Thetas. AEPhi: Fun party girls. DG: some cool girls and some weird girls. Kappa is rich and cute. What I have learned is that we all have our pre-conceived notions about what sororities are and most of it is crap. No matter what sorority it is you'll find beautiful women inside and out that want to achieve great things. Your class is beautiful but that isnt what is most important to some chapters. They used to be seen as a step above KD and ADPi, but theyve been slipping with their PCs over the last few years. She did not have anyone in any houses pulling for her as our high school is very lowly represented at UT. So much wrong about this. Sure, there are a few nerdier girls in DG and KD and ADPi has some quiet girls but those are all great chapters as is AXD. (Hang w/ some AXO, some KD/DG + Delt, some Sigma Chi, some Kappa Sig) Alpha Phi girls are generally thought of as partiers who like to drink and have a good time. We strive for a values-based sorority and fraternity experience. Dont know much about them. I actually think Livelonger did a good job of presenting each sorority with both positive and negative points. Not a scene I would ever want to be involved in. Looks can come and go, boyfriends change but sisterhood is a lifetime. BECAUSE HE IS A MAN! And the KD's are definitely a hodge podge, but I love em! One consistent observation is that KDs are obsessed with popularity. it's been a really rewarding experience and i've loved every second of it. Each sorority's traits vary by campus. KD was a well desired house this year by a lot of PNMs and for good reason. This is stupid. Usually pretty and party a lot but like AXO don't get big 6 because they are missing something(could be looks, outgoing personality, etc.) I agree that at my school Pi Beta Phi is the Top of the Top Tier, but they are nice, friendly and beautiful. They matter more to the houses with the top GPAs and sometimes even more to the ones that dont have top GPAs but want to move up on that list. The national organization stresses "Christian ideals." Chapters are generally considered to be well-organized. DG has been dropping for last few years. Pi Phis tend to be arrogant, and really don't care what people think of them, they seem to be above it all. I see changes over time in AXiD and think they're not going to stay down for much longer. A top tier sorority can basically pick just who they want among pledges, while a low tier sorority takes the leftovers. They have it all. Better than Theta for sure. AEPhis are known to haze. <p>I understand that as soon as a thread like this is started, people are re-directed to Greek Rank, but Greek Rank is horrible and biased! I think you are right on about all of them to a large degree. They are often forgotten. Not one!!! Look past the make up/money/chapter stereotype. I went DG, (slu++y/partners) reputation but undeserved, except for 30-40%. Lower tier. This is very interesting stuff. Dont know much about KD or ADPI. Theta girls are a lot more "fun" and Kappa girls are more "nice" girls. It's different at all schools, but at my school were known as being the funnest sorority to party with and we have the best sisterhood. I will be a new student next year and wanna rush, and am curious about the sororities and what the chapters are like here. Tri-Delt: This years pledge class put DDD from Top Tier to Lower Top Tier. Y'all gave so many girls to them this year who would have loved to be DDD but you dropped them! Not good from everything i'm reading and I don't know how accurate it is. Some sororities are more social than others, hosting parties and events while others are more low-key. Very beautiful girls (not as beautiful as Zeta but honestly any Zeta would have taken a Theta bid over Zeta). Pi Phi is the beautiful, richest sorority on top at my HUGE frat/sor oriented school and kappa and Chi o are the bottom. You will find some houses that feel welcoming, some that dont and that all depends on you as a person. Mix of wild and good girls. They have a reputation for accepting those who were rejected by top-tier sororities and that they are a backup option for many. Some say the sorority is full of girls who were rejected at top-tier sororities but are still solidly mid-tier. Every chapter within a sorority is different. You have nothing to loose, and you'll never know if you could absolutely love it until you try it!! I forgot to include DG. Most down to earth girls I've ever met. Theta has more pretty girls and definitely a lot of party girls. Most likely the girl that says she will only go XYZ or AB will be cut by those two houses and she will either eat crow or drop out. Feel like their PC was the weakest. This stereotype is, of course, hotly disputed by the Zetas themselves. Girls usually aren't big on greek life. I agree with a Samantha, that the author seems to be harshest on Pi Beta Phi and fawns over the Kappas.
